    DETROIT, Aug 15 (Reuters) - It's been more than half acentury since some of the first concept cars boastingself-driving features were presented to the world and they'restill not on the roads. But many auto executives say theindustry is on the cusp of welcoming vehicles that make the ideaof keeping both hands on the wheel an anachronism.

  • LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cable channel TBS has bought sports news website Bleacher Report in a strategic move meant to help sell more ads and cover the cost of expensive sports programming.
    TBS airs games from professional basketball, baseball, auto racing, golf and the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament.
    TBS' president of sales distribution and sports said in a statement Monday that the acquisition "reflects our continuing commitment to bring fans greater content across all screens throughout the entire year."

    BEIJING (AP) — Lenovo has unveiled a lighter, quicker ThinkPad notebook computer inspired by the convenience of tablets and smartphones.
    The Chinese computer maker displayed the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon on Monday and said it would go on sale later this month.
    A Lenovo vice president, Dilip Bhatia, said it will have a longer battery life and lighter weight. He said that was in response to demands by customers who want a tablet's convenience but need a notebook's wider range of functions.
