Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday, chanting slogans against Brett Kavanaugh and demanding the Senators to reject the Supreme Court nominee within hours after an FBI report absolved him of sexual assault allegations.

More than 300 demonstrators, including comedian Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski, were arrested after they converged on Capitol Hill, raising slogans: “Kavanaugh has got to go!” writes the BBC.

The balance in a chaotic confirmation process tilted towards Kavanaugh on Thursday after two wavering lawmakers, Jeff Flake and Susan Collins, gave positive reactions over FBI report ahead of a crucial confirmation vote on Saturday, reports The Guardian.
