Boris Johnson earlier called May's Brexit plan a disaster.

Downing Street hit back at Boris Johnson after the former foreign secretary laid into British Prime Minister Theresa May, accusing her government of showing a weak-kneed character in negotiating “a proper Brexit” from the European Union.

Downing Street rebuked Johnson for non-serious leadership, adding that the former foreign secretary has offered no new ideas and is indeed engaging in “personality politics,” reports The Guardian.

May has failed to convince critics both at home and abroad over her Brexit plan, called the Chequers proposal, which is designed to protect cross-border trade with the E.U., notes Reuters.
