AI conjures up real faces from textual description

The tantalizing textual renditions of some fictional characters are teasingly cruel; they leave little to imagination yet keeping the faces of interest an elusive chase for the reader.

Thanks to programmer Animesh Karnewar, who has trained an artificial intelligence program to synthesize facial images from textual description, you may have a “real” face to feast your eyes and see how that favorite character from the story appears, reports Digital Trends.

The T2F AI program, trained on a dataset of 400 random faces with their description, fared reasonably well as it worked on descriptions and returned facial images, which although “pixelated and abstract” looked pretty accurate, notes Tech Story.
