Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner earned around $82m from multiple business streams in 2017 while serving as senior advisers to President Donald Trump, a revelation that has raised ethical concerns about conflicts of interest.

The Trump family has been repeatedly accused of exploiting the presidency for personal profit, an allegation dismissed by the couple's ethics lawyer, Abbe Lowell, notes, the BBC.

Ivanka and Kushner divested stakes in some of their companies before taking up their jobs in the White House and decided to forego drawing tax-payer funded salaries for the advisory role, writes The Guardian.
