According to the stats released by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the electric vehicles market covered good ground in the year 2017 as the sales of EVs leapt by 54%, taking the global stock across the three-million mark.

Norway led the trend with the world’s highest market share of 39.2 percent, courtesy the policy push by the government while China remained the largest market by volume albeit with a humble market share of just over 2%, writes Seeker.

Favorable government policies and more ambitious environmental standard could put another 125 million EVs on roads the world over by 2030, notes Industry Leaders.
