At its annual IO developers conference, Google unveiled artificial intelligence software that can independently make calls on owner’s behalf, say to make salon appointment or restaurant reservation, talking in an unbelievable natural way.

Called “Duplex,” this voice assistant feature promises to deliver a lot of value to consumers, posing a threat to rival Apple virtual assistants, reports the BBC.

The assistant showed an incredible adeptness at handling even complicated conversations, although a minor fudging into the Google demo cannot be ruled out, notes Tech Crunch.
