Far and detached from the destructive forces of nature, we may not share the empathy and passion to take climate change head-on, but an immersive experience of melting sheets of ice, wildfires and famines, is sure to leave an indelible mark and evoke action.

“This is Climate Change,” a virtual reality series from Danfung Dennis and Eric Strauss from the VR studio Condition One, plants you in the middle of devastation not to “see” it but to experience it to pinching details, the threats to our environment, writes Engadget.

The makers chose virtual reality medium over a traditional documentary style so as to provide an enhanced sensorial experience of the tangible effects of rising temperatures, not only to educate people but to compel them to take action, notes Eco Watch.
