Stats reveal that women in tech are certainly not the favorites among venture capitalists. Just 2 percent of the venture capital funding went to female founders in 2017 in a glaring example of gender biases dominate the apparatus in the Silicon Valley.

In a departure from the grim patterns, crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo are helping women pitch their ideas and raise funds more successfully than men, writes Popular Science.

A recent study found that 65 percent of women-led campaigns hit their fundraising goals as opposed to a success rate of 30 percent for men, reports Biz Women.
