What if you could video-record your nightmares and play them over again to learn hidden aspects of your personality? That may not be a “distant dream” as scientists are close to developing a technology to decode the content, imagery, movement and speech of our dreams.

While a school of thought believes dreams can divulge a lot of information beyond just the fun stuff, others believe the idea could pay way for hacking of dreams, a tool that advertising companies, interrogators, etc. may find handy, notes CNN.

Despite gloom and optimism surrounding such machines, the technology to record your dreams and the equipment for it could be a reality within a decade, writes Qrius.
