In its latest art installation, called Surface X, Picaroon Studio attempts to distance us from the presentable and impressive traits using which we carve out a desirable digital identity and rather prods us to acknowledge the “flawed” human being we are.

The interactive installation comprises of 35 umbrellas, with an alluring appeal from a distance, just like our digital identities, notes Design Boom. When one steps closer to the structure, the umbrellas droop within milliseconds, baring open the “ugly” cables, sensors, and a steel frame beneath, which symbolize the flaws in our personality.

These defects may seem appealing to someone while to others they may be a put-off, depending on how one judges.
