In his first major television appearance since being sacked, ex-FBI director James Comey said that U.S. President Donald Trump is “morally unfit” for the office as the leader constantly lies on issues and treats women as a “piece of meat.”

Trump’s party issued a statement via the Republican National Committee, describing Comey’s remarks as a publicity stunt to sell his new book, entitled “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,” writes the BBC.

Comey, who had a troubled relationship with Trump during a tumultuous one year, previously accused the president of nudging him to drop an investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, notes The Guardian.
