Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has warned, in his new AI documentary called “Do You Trust This Computer?” that unregulated advances in artificial intelligence could eventually turn the technology into an “immortal” digital dictator.

Musk cautioned that unlike an evil dictator threatening the societies, the AI dictator doesn’t need to be vicious to target humans; eliminating the humankind out of its way could be just an organic process for the technology as it sets itself on course for a target, writes Live Science.

Musk is concerned that an unchecked AI, powering our stock markets, fake news algorithms, and autonomous weapons, could be an invincible super-human, a glimpse of which is already visible in Google’s DeepMind project, notes Inhabitat.
