U.S. President Donald Trump said that he will soon decide on pulling back the American troops from Syria now that Islamic State is almost rooted out of the war-torn country.

Addressing a White House press conference with leaders from three Baltic nations, Trump added that Saudi Arabia may have to pay for U.S. military efforts if it wants the American troops to stay in Syria, notes Al Jazeera.

Trump’s surprise announcement has soured the already troubled ties between Washington and a Kurdish-led force, which claims that at least 2,200 IS fighters remain entrenched along the border with Iraq, writes The Guardian.
