Unfazed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s anti-environment moves, including retracting America from the Paris Agreement and pumping millions of dollars in fossil fuel industry, two cities, San Francisco and Burlington, are leading their own journey to a low-carbon future and setting examples for the rest of the country.

Burlington, producing its entire power from renewable sources, has seen stagnant electricity prices over the last eight years, notes EcoWatch.

San Francisco, the first U.S. city mandating solar roofs on most new construction, is well on course to hit its target of 100 percent electricity from renewable energy by 2030.
