Braving the chill outdoors is a breeze with a new self-heating jacket by Boston apparel company, Ministry of Supply, which has used artificial intelligence technology to bring personalized climate control to people on the move.

The Mercury jacket relies on machine learning to get familiar with the user’s preferences and automatically tune its temperature to keep the wearer warm and cozy, writes New Atlas.

The experiment is an indication that companies are making efforts to put forth useful applications of wearable technology as the hype around wearables fizzles out, notes Electric Runway.
