A group of 100 students and parent activists from the Florida high school, where 17 people were massacred by a gunman last week, arrived in the state capital Tallahassee on Wednesday to hold a rally demanding legislative reforms to ban assault-style rifles.

This is the first organized youth-led anti-gun campaign and has garnered support from celebrities such as George and Amal Clooney, Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey, who are funding a proposed march against gun violence on March 24, writes the BBC.

The massacre at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school has sparked a fast-growing #NeverAgain campaign, exerting pressure on the lawmakers to take swift action to curb gun violence, notes The Guardian.
