North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un lauded “sincere” efforts by the South after the return of its Winter Olympics delegation and gave “important instructions” to further liven up “the warm climate of reconciliation and dialogue.”

The North’s attendance in the South-hosted Winter Olympics has certainly diffused the animosity between the two states but experts believe Pyongyang pulled off a “propaganda coup” through its apparent “Games charm offensive,” writes the BBC.

Kim Jong-un’s address, however, made no mention of the offer of a summit made to the South Korean president by his sister, an omission that reflects the “precarious” nature of the proposal, notes The Guardian.
