Signaling yet another showdown between the White House and the justice department, the FBI has expressed “grave concerns” over President Donald Trump’s plans to release a controversial memo, believed to contain inaccurate facts about agency’s use of surveillance powers.

The four-page document, commissioned by House Intelligence Committee (HIE) head Devin Nunes, allegedly cherry-picks classified material to defile the agency’s probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, writes The Guardian.

Democrats have accused the Republicans of secretly modifying the content of the memo before forwarding if for the White House approval, notes the BBC.
