All iOS and Mac devices hit by Meltdown, Spectre bugs

Apple has cautioned its customers that the all iPhones, iPads and Mac computers are affected by major chip flaws, called Meltdown and Spectre, which could allow hackers to steal data.

Apple said it has already released "mitigations" against Meltdown, advising the product users to download updates from trusted sources only, writes the BBC.

The flaws in chip designs from Intel, AMD and ARM were discovered by security researchers at Google’s Project Zero in June but were public this week as developers toiled to find fixes and thwart malicious use, notes The Guardian
