“Tomatotecture” probably defines the novel design approach by Carlo Ratti Associati (CRA) that plans to erect an Italian tomato factory with walls made from glass tomato sauce jars, an idea that will attract tourists to an otherwise uninteresting facility.

The idea for Mutti’s new plant near Parma in northern Italy is inspired by Pablo Neruda's poem “Oda al Tomate,” writes New Atlas.

The new factory will feature a visitor’s center with translucent walls made from glass jars that will allow visitors experience “the art of processing the tomato,” as millions descent into wash basins in a “red cascade,” notes Green Matters
