Victoria police arrested two people after the horrible incident.

At least 14 people were hit, with several of them critically injured, after a car “deliberately” rammed into pedestrians on the crowded Flinders Street in the Australian city of Melbourne on Thursday.

The attack bore chilling resemblance to strikes by Islamist militants in recent times, however, Victoria police were yet to ascertain the motive behind the incident that lasted for about 15 seconds, notes the BBC.
