U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday lauded Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his ongoing anti-corruption drive that saw a number of ministers, royals, and investors being arrested and their bank accounts frozen.

Trump tweeted, “I have great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, they know exactly what they are doing,” endorsing the action against those, who have been “milking” the Kingdom, writes Al Jazeera.

Crown Prince Or MbS, as the Western world calls him, has taken a series of dramatic steps to bolster Saudi influence globally while negating his opponents and cementing his grip on power at home, notes Reuters.
