A new energy concept, proposed by Malmö-based company Innenco, harnesses a building’s thermal mass to shrink its net energy consumption to zero, delivering economic and environmental benefits in one go.

The system boasts of six times greater efficiency in heating and cooling courtesy a pack of active elements such as pipes, chillers and heat pumps integrated into the frame construction to utilize the building’s thermal mass, notes Inhabitat.

Innenco’s system can be installed during the construction of new building or can be retrofitted in the existing structures.
