It could be hard to feed clean water and power in remote, rural areas in developing countries, a problem that “Off Grid Box” addresses efficiently, economically and in an eco-friendly manner.

The 6-foot cube is an all-in-one system, equipped with solar panels and other hardware for production of electricity and collection, purification and storage of water anywhere, writes Design Boom.

The Off Grid Box, already deployed in Italy, Rwanda and Boston, costs $15,000 and offers a complete modular solution for rural electrification, disaster relief and for off-grid living, notes Clean Technica.
