An undercover investigation by Al Jazeera has revealed that Israel funds smear campaigns against the activists, who raise questions on the illegal occupation of Palestinian land. The investigation, entitled “The Lobby,” was carried out over six months in the U.K., where an undercover reporter discovered an extensive, well-financed nexus between politicians, activists and Israeli embassy officials in the U.K., working together to develop favorable environment for Israel.

The report claims that Shai Masot, a senior political officer at Israeli embassy in London, channelizes financial or strategic support to many, notes Al Jazeera.

The investigator also uncovered the systematic way in which Israel coordinates expenses-paid trips to turn young Britons into propagandists for apartheid, writes the Canary. The report also reveals that anyone who questions Zionism, the political ideology that Israel has the right to exist as an exclusively Jewish homeland in historic Palestine, is considered “problematic” and branded as racist.
