A United Nations-run school sheltering Palestinians in north Gaza came under Israeli shelling on Thursday, with at least 15 people killed and another 200 wounded. The attack raises the death toll from the 15-day conflict to nearly 750. Israel Radio has said that most of those killed at the school were children. According to a U.N. spokesperson, the coordinates of the school were provided to the Israeli military prior to the strike as a precaution. Additionally, efforts had been made to coordinate an evacuation with the military, which never granted it.
