Russian president traveling to visit annexed Crimea

President Vladimir Putin has flown to Crimea, which Russia annexed in March, amid celebrations of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. In a speech in Moscow earlier, Mr Putin paid tribute to World War Two heroes and vowed to defend the "motherland".
