Bangladesh oppo claims hundreds missing, killed

Though the ruling Awami League won handily in elections last month, a boycott by the chief opposition group -- the Bangladesh Nationalist Party -- did little to convince the world of its legitimacy. Now the BNP is accusing police of having killed or kidnapped some 300 people in the last month, an aggressive claim sure to invite more global attention.
