
Cemig to Invest $621M in Renova

Cia. Energetica de Minas Gerais (Cemig), Brazil’s second-biggest power utility, is to invest 1.4 billion reais ($621 million) in the renewable-energy developer Renova Energia to boost its wind power. Brazil's utilities are looking to increase their wind capacity for power generation in the dry season when water levels for their hydropower plants are low.
