Bruce Springsteen and U2 each have released acoustic version of a classic hit in support of The ONE Campaign, an advocacy organization working against extreme poverty and preventable disease.

Springsteen released a new acoustic version of his song, "The Promised Land," from his 1978 album "Darkness on the Edge of Town." U2 released a new acoustic version of their song, "Sunday Bloody Sunday," the opening track from their 1983 album "War."

The releases are part of ONE's 'agit8',  a global music campaign featuring more than 50 artists rerecording classic protest songs. Others that have taken part include Green Day, Kid Rock, and Mumford and Sons.
