Supreme Court to tackle same-sex marriage

The justices take up the thorny issue at an auspicious moment, the country having just re-elected the first president (or candidate) to back same-sex marriage rights. Also for the first time this year, multiple states voted same-sex marriage into law, ratcheting up the pressure on the Court to respond to changing public opinion.
