The Indian Space Research Organisation Friday successfully launched its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV C-17), carrying to space GSAT-12, a communication satellite, according to news reports.

    A rocket will blast off from the southeastern coast of India, dropping the satellite into deep space, which will then travel onto Mars to achieve orbit.
