New media artist, director and designer Refik Anadol splashes 16 x 20 ft LED media screens with a blend of data paintings, augmented data sculptures and light projections, exploring how brain recalls memories in his work, entitled “Melting Memories.”

Anadol’s second solo exhibition at Pilevneli Gallery in Istanbul employs algorithms, developed by the neurology laboratories at University of California, to imitate the motor activity in brain over time, writes Trend Land.

The datasets comprising of the measurements of the brain wave activity form the building blocks of algorithms that render grand, multi-dimensional imagery, reports Design Boom.
