U.S. President Donald Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn admitted to lying to federal investigators about his conversation with Russia’s ambassador on Friday, a development that holds serious implications for the Trump administration.

Flynn has reportedly struck a deal with special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating the alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow, writes Flipboard.

Flynn’s guilty plea signals that the Russia-link probe is getting closer to the White House and there are no indications that it may end any time soon, notes The Hill. The tainted security advisor, who faces the threat of being charged in Mueller’s probe, seems to be getting a “good deal.”
