U.S. President Donald Trump unleashed a volley of angry tweets at Hillary Clinton and the opposition Democratic Party amid reports that the first charges in the probe examining Russia’s alleged interference in 2016 election could be filed on Monday.

In a Twitter tirade, Trump blasted the opposition for its “evil politics,” that centers on leveling “phony” allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, notes The Guardian.

A team, led by special counsel Robert Mueller, reportedly filed its first charges under seal on Friday. Trump’s Twitter outburst suggested that the dramatic turn to the inquiry seeks to derail the Republicans’ “big push for historic Tax Cuts & Reform,” writes the BBC.
