Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the gunman who shot dead 58 people at a music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday, flew back from the Philippines to Los Angeles, where she was met by FBI team investigating the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

It has emerged that the 64-year-old shooter, Stephen Paddock, had transferred $100,000 to Danley’s overseas account in the Philippines just a week ahead of the Mandalay Bay rampage, notes The Guardian.

Police found that Paddock, a retired accountant and a high-stake gambler, had set up cameras in his hotel suite, turning it into a sniper’s nest, as he carried out a frantic assault on an open-air music concert near the Mandalay Bay, writes Reuters.
