Our consumption doesn’t have to cost the earth – that’s the idea that drives Britain’s first zero-waste grocery store, called Earth.Food.Love, which stocks only ethically-sourced products that are totally packaging-free.

Based in Devon, the sustainable shop maintains an inventory of “ethical, wholesome and organic” products only while leaving out products like milk, alcohol and even chips that require several layers of packaging, notes Inhabitat.

Richard and Nicola Eckersley, who run the store seek to encourage others for zero-waste living and have penned down a guide to “Setting up your Own Zero-Waste Shop,” writes One Green Planet.
