21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News announced that it is pulling the network off the air in the U.K. as low audience figures fail to serve commercial interests of the venture.

The company said that the channel is tailored for the U.S. market and audience, however, observers believe that the decision might be aimed at clearing the way for the company’s takeover of Sky, writes CNN.

The network courted a controversy after a woman claimed that she was sexually harassed at Fox News and called on U.K. media regulators to block 21st Century Fox's bid to takeover Sky, notes the BBC.
