As Brexit negotiators enter the third round of negotiations in Brussels, business groups from the U.K. and Germany have called on the E.U. to prioritize “business critical” issues and ensure clarity and certainty on future trading arrangements.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce (DIHK) issued a joint statement that expressed concern over a “major negative impact” that would accompany Brexit as trade barriers will complicate business and investment, writes the BBC.

The close trade ties between Germany and the U.K. witnessed a slowdown with German exports to the country falling by 3 percent in the first half of the year, notes The Guardian.
