U.S. President Donald Trump’s eldest son, son-in-law Jared Kushner and former campaign manager Paul Manafort will appear before the Senate judiciary committee next week to testify over the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The committee’s decision to call Trump’s closest associates for a testimony under oath comes just two days after the White House confirmed that U.S. president had an undisclosed conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during G20 summit in Germany, writes the BBC.

The committee is expected to delve deeper into the revelation that Donald Trump Jr. and two others met a Kremlin-based lawyer seeking compromising information on Hillary Clinton during the campaign, notes The Guardian.
