According to a snap poll among 700 members of a lobby group, the business confidence in the U.K. has been strongly hit by uncertain political situation created following the hung parliament.

The members of the Institute of Directors outlined that the issues related to business and economy were missing from the campaign, which is why business optimism has sunk "through the floor," notes the BBC.

The poll came at a time when credit rating agency Moody’s has presented a gloomy report, stating that the election result is ‘credit negative’ for the U.K., writes The Guardian.
