The world’s thinnest hologram, developed by a team of Australian and Chinese scientists, may soon integrate 3D-holography technology into everyday electronics like smartphones, computers and TVs, transforming the way we access and interact with data.

The nano-holograms, about 1,000 times thinner than a human hair, can produce and show three-dimensional images without the need for 3D glasses, writes Seeker.

The integration of holography on smartphones and other electronic devices would render the screen size irrelevant as a pop-up hologram would dish out massive amount of data that doesn’t fit well on display, notes Phys.org.
