SolarGaps, a Ukrainian startup, has developed the world’s first smart solar blinds that not only shade sunlight but also generate clean and green energy to power household devices.

These solar blinds are designed to autonomously track sun’s position through the day, thereby drawing maximum energy from it and converting it into useful power, which can eventually slash electricity bills by up to 70 percent, writes Design Boom.

The product, which has a 25-year lifespan, serves as a simple DIY solution for those who don’t have a rooftop to install solar panels, writes Tree Hugger.
