General Electric has developed a futuristic, “sci-fi” lamp that integrates Amazon Alexa, allowing the users to control this smart lighting product with voice commands.

The C by GE Sol lamp also doubles up as a hands-free voice assistant, letting the users control other Alexa-enabled smart home devices and appliances. The product was announced last year and is now available for pre-orders, notes Engadget.

Priced at $200, the smart lamp is a result of GE’s emphasis on building in-house line of connected home devices for convenience, control and security, notes Digital Trends.
