Confident Republicans set for Obamacare repeal vote

Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives claimed that they have the numbers to pass a controversial bill that would repeal and replace Obamacare as the house prepares for a crucial vote on Thursday.

President Donald Trump, who vowed to roll back Obamacare during his presidential campaign, involved personally this week to win over the support of Republican leaders who were skeptical of the legislation, writes the BBC.

Trump’s push to get the bill through gained momentum on Wednesday, after the lawmakers amended certain sections, ensuring that people with pre-existing medical conditions are not hurt, notes The Guardian.
