A Canadian startup, Seaformatics, has developed a sleek and portable turbine called the Waterlily, which can harness the power of wind and water to charge USB gadgets, offering a smart and convenient way for the modern mountaineers and campers to stay connected to the social media while in the lap of nature.

While almost a dozen of camping gadgets fit the slot when your devices need a power boost, what separates Waterlily from the rest is its ability to squeeze juice out of both water and wind, writes News Atlas.

While the 800g device can be stationed in the flowing river or at a windy spot to generate power, the developers plan to upgrade the design with a hand crank for the convenience of users, if the weather is calm outdoors and there is no river nearby, notes Idea Connection.
