Oil-rich Qatar is planning on investing up to $15 billion in key infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom. Officials and ministers from both countries have held discussions over what schemes the Qataris could invest in and whether a specific fund could be set up, the Financial Times reports. Qatar already has several investments in the U.K. but a specific fund to finance government-backed schemes, as it tries to drive growth, would suppose a new chapter in their relation.
